چکیده
Abstract Introduction Sleep consists of stages light sleep, deep and rapid eye movement (REM), which have different characteristics. These are thought to be associated with physiological psychological processes. Pain is an unpleasant sensory emotional experience generated by neural activity that potentially impacts several networks in the brain. There limited information regarding potential association between objectively determined sleep characteristics persistent low back pain (pLBP). The purpose this study was examine whether differ individuals pLBP asymptomatic controls. Methods Individuals a current episode symptoms impacting function persisting greater than 3 months (pLBP group, n=20) (control n=16) participated study. They wore home test device (Zmachine® Insight+, General Corporation) for three nights. Results control groups had similar age (24.8 ± 5.8 25.4 4.3 years, respectively; mean SD), height, weight, waist hip circumferences. two also total time (6.0 1.2 6.6 1.0 hours, groups, respectively), efficiency (82.8 8.8% 84.9 5.7%), wake after onset (35.8 ±27.4 31.5 ±18.1 minutes). duration REM (1.5 0.5 1.5 0.6 hours) (3.1 0.7 3.4 0.9 were similar. However, group less (1.4 0.4 (1.7 0.3 (p = 0.029). Conclusion controls, although other appear results suggest stage requires further investigation. متن کاملAltered Lower Limb Kinematics during Jumping among Athletes with Persistent Low Back Pain
Background. The kinematics of a controlled functional task in female volleyball athletes may be an interesting area of study. Therefore, investigating if there are kinematic changes in a jump landing jump task among female athletes with low back pain (LBP) may help therapists and trainers better prevent and/or rehabilitate LBP in athletes. Objectives. The purpose of this study was to examine l...
متن کاملAltered Multifidus Recruitment During Walking in Young Asymptomatic Individuals With a History of Low Back Pain.
Study Design Controlled laboratory study, with a case-control, cross-sectional design. Background Individuals with low back pain have impaired activation of the multifidus during postural adjustments and increased activity of the erector spinae musculature during walking. However, it is unclear whether these alterations in muscle activity are evident during locomotion in individuals with a hist...

STUDY DESIGN Patients with low back pain and asymptomatic individuals were evaluated while performing controlled and free-dynamic lifting tasks in a laboratory setting. OBJECTIVE To evaluate how low back pain influences spine loading during lifting tasks. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA An important, yet unresolved, issue associated with low back pain is whether patients with low back pain exper...
متن کاملIndividuals with chronic low back pain have greater difficulty in engaging in positive lifestyle behaviours than those without back pain: An assessment of health literacy
BACKGROUND Despite the large volume of research dedicated to understanding chronic low back pain (CLBP), patient outcomes remain modest while healthcare costs continue to rise, creating a major public health burden. Health literacy - the ability to seek, understand and utilise health information - has been identified as an important factor in the course of other chronic conditions and may be im...
